Questionnaire & Results

I distributed the questionnaire around, school, social events and through social media which then gained a vast platform of ages, gender, social groups etc. Here are some of the questionnaires I collected:

The overall results I collected from all of the questionnaires are:
  • 100% of the results were that people would want to buy a magazine within the "0-5 times a month" category.
  • 8 out of every 10 people would like to see a celebrity on the front cover of their magazine and giving it reasoning for purchasing.
  • 75% of people would prefer to see interviews within their Pop Music magazine, the other 25% of people would want to find a glimpse of gossip in their magazine therefore when creating my magazine I am going to combine the two in order to create a perfect combine for the target audience.
  • The majority of people would not pay more than £2.00 for a music magazine.
  • 90% of the people out of the questionnaires that would actually buy the magazine are within the "11-20 years" category therefore that is what I am going to base as my target demographic.
From the results I have collected I know to: allow my magazine to be of a weekly subscription, have a celebrity on the front cover, involve an intriguing story/interview with someone attracting star appeal, do not have it priced over £2.00 as not many people would purchase it and set my target audience for young teen/ young adults.
